The Humane Society of Louisiana was forced to close its Thrift Store earlier this year, due to hurricane damage and the loss of our lease, following Katrina.

THANKS TO ALL OF YOU who donated, shopped and volunteered at our store, which was in operation since 1997.

Our former Thrift Store Manager, Linda Dell, has relocated to Ohio, where she evacuated with her large family of cats during Katrina. She still remains active in the organization and Girlfriend--the feline "assistant manager" of the site--relocated with her, as well. You can reach Linda and Girlfriend at trinitybaker@yahoo.com.

If you are in the Greater New Orleans area and would like to donate merchandise to us, please contact us at 1-888-6HUMANE. We may be able to make arrangements to accept furniture and other saleable items, but we're not in a position to accept clothing or most household goods at this time.
