"Tail-a-thon" To Raise Needed Funds for the Humane Society

On Monday, February 9th, Cox Communications (Channel 10) in New Orleans will host the first ever telethon for pets. This exciting project, the "Tail-athon," will support the Humane Society of Louisiana's cruelty investigation and animal protection programs. The show will air from 7pm to 10pm.

The live fundraiser will feature celebrity presenters, on air talent, pretaped segments about the Humane Society's programs and much more! Pets will be introduced to viewers, too! Volunteers will staff a phone bank, and animal lovers from the viewing area will be urged to call in to donate.

You'll be hearing more about this exciting fundraiser in the coming weeks. There are many opportunities for corporate sponsorships, and volunteers are needed to make this event a huge success. Contact us today to get involved.

$20,000 was raised from the telethon, which was great for our first year out. We're hoping to do even better next year.
